The Situation

Phoenix Strategic Resources, an Atlanta-based Consulting and Staffing firm, came to TCD for a logo, identity package and web site. Their business goal is to gain access to their client’s business in order to work with them from within, so they needed a look that would communicate a sense of trust and respect to their target audience.

Every aspect of PSR’s look – from their logo, to their business cards and stationery, to their web site – needed to demonstrate the perfect balance between modern and contemporary, established, trusted and respectable.

The Solution

It all started with the logo and the color palette. We used a serif font for a “built with old money” feel, and topped it off with a logo mark of abstract wings to play off their name without being too obvious or cliché. For the color scheme, a deep burgundy set on grays and other neutral tones offers a bold but elegant contrast.

The web site was built entirely in HTML with DHTML drop-down menus and relies on CSS throughout to ensure a consistent look on all browsers. The design features a large photo area with overlaid text, color blocks and calls-to-action. The content is organized into a flat structure so users can find the information they seek quickly. But not too much detail is given away so ideally the guest will contact the firm for more information.
