After a successful 2006/2007 season it was time to do an update to the ASO site for the 2007/2008 season. While the Existing ASO site had some neat features there were some key issues with serving up key pieces of content using certain flash components. With a years worth of user input we were able to focus in on some key areas and leverage that input to increase user activity and sales.

The Solution

Design:
Since the design from last year was still very flexible we did not have too do a complete redesign, rather we just re-skinned the components and changed up the css and viola ...a brand new website look and feel...this helped save on budget and time.

A very neat and fun aspect to this update was the addition of custom illustration to help promote events.

Development:
Calendar & Event details flash components were swapped out with custom AJAX components which lets users have access to more pieces of content while on an event details page without having to bounce around the site or leave a page while trying to purchase tickets

The Results

Coming soon on the site are event blogs which will allow users to participate in discussions about an event after it has passed and a few other interesting features
