Mark Lanford - Partner : Design & Development

Mark brings a unique gift to Tribal Chicken: an eye for aesthetics and a head for the sciences. After growing up primarily in Tennessee and California, Mark attended the Art Institute of Atlanta, graduating with a degree in Visual Communication in 1997. It was while in school that Mark conceived the name “Tribal Chicken,” which he used as the title of his online portfolio. Immediately after graduation, Mark put his skill to work at such companies as Newton Park, IBM and Faucett New Media, among others. In 2001 he decided it was time to form his own business with the help of Benay and Woody, and thus TCD was founded. Mark has had the opportunity of working with many high-profile clients such as AOL, Priceline.com, ASO/Woodruff Arts Center, Atlantic Station, Barbra Streisand, Mercedes-Benz, Saab, Ketchum, Orkin, Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta, Cartoon Network, the Georgia Aquarium, Brand Atlanta and the Beltline Project.

Benay Krissel - Partner: Design and Operations

Benay was born and raised in Miami, Florida where her parents instilled in her a deep love of the arts. She earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Boston University, before transferring to the University of Colorado in Boulder to pursue her true passion: fine arts. After graduating with a BFA in Studio Arts in 1989, Benay moved to Atlanta to manage the Coop Advertising program for Caber Systems, a computer retailer with 25 locations throughout the Southeast. After a buyout by GE Capital in 1993, Benay went to work for the Coca-Cola Company as a Sr. Designer, then being promoted to Art Director during her 7-year tenure. Brief stints followed as Art Director at the IBM Knowledge Studio and at Outweb as Creative Director, before the dotcom crash of 2001. That was just the incentive she needed to put her love of design and head for business to work for herself, and form TCD with Mark and Woody. Benay has worked with other notable clients such as Ballard Designs, CNN and the Turner Entertainment Networks. She currently lives in Atlanta with her family.

Christopher Woodall- Partner: Development
Woody is a true Atlanta native. He attended the University of Georgia's Grady College, majoring in Telecommunication Arts. He also studied Multimedia at the Art Institute of Atlanta. He's since put his talent for Design and Development to work at Outweb, TechBridge, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. Woody has had the opportunity to work with many other clients such as City of Atlanta, Open Door Foundation, Turner Sports Interactive, PGA, Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta, the Warrick Dunn Foundation, Byers Engineering and Crawford and Company. Woody currently lives in Marietta.
